Brown Basmati Rice
Brown Basmati RiceThis aromatic and flavorsome rice comes from farms in the Northern belt. Brown basmati rice is full of different nutrients and contains a mixture of vitamins and minerals that correspond to its rich flavor and nutty aroma.
In general, brown rices are more full of nutrients than their white rice relatives, and brown basmati rice is one of the most nutrient-rich of them all. One of main reasons why brown rice is healthier is because while processing, only the outermost layer, the hull, of the rice kernel is removed and hence is the least damaging to its nutritional value.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place.
Uses: Brown basmati rice generally cooks more quickly. It is recommended to rinse the rice well before cooking and soak it in water for 30-45 minutes. Ration of rice to water can be in the proportion of 1:2-2.5 cups

Brown Sugar
Brown SugarGrown and processed in Maharashtra, this sugar does not go through any bleaching process unlike non-organic conventional sugar. Organic okra powder is used as an alternative to chemicals used during the processing phase.
At times it tends to leave color which is but a natural process. The color that drains out comes from the sugarcane molasses during the processing of sugar.

Cardamom Green ( Elaichi )
Cardamom Green ( Elaichi )It has taken us a very very long time to restart the green cardamom since we weren’t quite happy with the samples we were getting. However, we have finally managed to find a very good source based out of Kerala who has helped us in sourcing this wonder spice amongst others. The NGO group works with the small & marginal farmers in the area thereupon empowering them.
The aroma and taste is one of the best we have come across. With its numerous uses and health benefits, we had to get our hands only on the best of quality
Uses: All styles of cooking to add a distinct warm pleasant fragrance. Can also be added to drinks like tea etc. One can also chew upon one pod in its raw form.
The best way to store cardamom is in the form of pods because once the seeds are exposed or ground, they lose their flavor and aroma rapidly. Cardamom pods can last up to a year when stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

Coconut Oil Virgin
Coconut Oil VirginTo obtain virgin coconut oil, fresh coconut kernel or “meat” is shredded, dried, and pressed without any heat. Or in other words, cold pressed.
The resulting oil features a mild, fresh, fragrance, and a light, slightly sweet flavor with hints of coconut.
Coconut oil is liquid at temperatures above 76° F (24° C), and turns solid at lower temperatures.
Comes from an Organic farmer in Tamilnadu growing coconuts for three generations.
Benefits
Coconut oil is rich in uncommon saturated fats called “medium chain triglycerides” or MCTs.
Lauric acid is an exceptionally healthful MCT that constitutes more than half the fat in coconut oil.
Unlike the fats in vegetable oils or butter, the body burns MCTs for quick energy, and is less likely to store them.
Like the omega-3 fats in fish oil, MCTs raise the ratio of HDL to LDL cholesterol … an effect linked to reduced cardiovascular risks.
