1) How does waste become a resource?
Waste becomes a resource when it is given away clean. If it is discarded dirty, it is less likely to be handled and more likely to end up in a landfill, where it can take hundreds of years to decompose and release toxic chemicals into the air, water, and soil. On the other hand, if you hand over dry waste cleanly, it is much more likely to be properly processed, making it valuable for recycling, upcycling, or reuse.

You can register by visiting our website and clicking on the "Register" button. Follow the prompts to create an account based on your role as a Contributor, Resource Collector, or Corporate.

You are a CONTRIBUTOR if you are a waste generator.
You are a RESOURCE COLLECTOR if you are a DWCC operator or waste picker and typically collects small quantities from Contributors.
You are a CORPORATE if you pick up large aggregated quantities. You can be a Resource Aggregator or Recycler.

You can list various types of waste materials, including recyclables (paper, plastic, metal, etc.), e-waste and more. Ensure your listings are accurate and clearly described. The category ‘Type of Resources’ will list all types.

After signing in, click on ‘Add your Post’. Fill In the details about your resources and click on Post.

Registered users who are interested in your listing will be able to see your contact details and reach out to you directly. Alternatively, you can also search for relevant contacts on the platform. For example, if you have something to sell, you can search for Buy listings and connect with those interested parties.

You cannot edit a listing once posted. You can deactivate the post from your profile page and create a new one.

Yes, you can post requests for specific types of waste materials by using the ‘Buy” option. In case the material you want is not listed, use the ‘Other’ option. You can also send your requirements to ecoSansar at support@ecosansar.com. We will be happy to assist you.

No, The ZeroWaste Community Tool is purely a discovery platform and does not participate in any financial or logistical transactions between parties.

Starting from August 2024, all services will be free for 3 months as part of our promotional offer. Flat subscription charges as below will apply from November 1 onwards:
● Contributors: Rs.99 per month, redeemable with sale of resources
● Resource Collectors: Rs.500 per month
● Corporates: Rs.3000 per month
