The ZeroWaste Community Tool is a platform that connects the following stakeholders in the dry waste value chain :
● Contributors (waste generators)
● Resource Collectors (DWCC operators or waste pickers)
● Corporates (Aggregators/Recyclers)
The tool facilitates the buying, selling, and giving away of waste materials as resources for recycling or reuse.

We aim to change the way we look at what we put in our dustbins. Can we do something better with dry waste than throw it away? Can it still have value? Yes absolutely!. All you have to do is make sure you give it away clean and not throw it dirty. It then becomes a resource that can be more effectively recycled or reused. It also provides for hygienic working conditions and dignified labour for all involved in the waste value chain.

With all services now available on our phones, we interact less within our own neighbourhoods. Building a community creates a reliable and dependable network that fosters harmonious coexistence in your neighbourhood. We also recognize that the local unorganized sector is often left behind in a tech-driven urban lifestyle. Our goal is to empower the local workforce with technology so they can keep pace with the modern world and connect with you in a familiar way. 1) How does waste become a resource?
Waste becomes a resource when it is given away clean. If it is discarded dirty, it is less likely to be handled and more likely to end up in a landfill, where it can take hundreds of years to decompose and release toxic chemicals into the air, water, and soil. On the other hand, if you hand over dry waste cleanly, it is much more likely to be properly processed, making it valuable for recycling, upcycling, or reuse.

2) Why Should We Ensure Our Waste is Handled Responsibly?

You can register by visiting our website and clicking on the "Register" button. Follow the prompts to create an account based on your role as a Contributor, Resource Collector, or Corporate.

You are a CONTRIBUTOR if you are a waste generator.
You are a RESOURCE COLLECTOR if you are a DWCC operator or waste picker and typically collects small quantities from Contributors.
You are a CORPORATE if you pick up large aggregated quantities. You can be a Resource Aggregator or Recycler.

You can list various types of waste materials, including recyclables (paper, plastic, metal, etc.), e-waste and more. Ensure your listings are accurate and clearly described. The category ‘Type of Resources’ will list all types.

After signing in, click on ‘Add your Post’. Fill In the details about your resources and click on Post.

Registered users who are interested in your listing will be able to see your contact details and reach out to you directly. Alternatively, you can also search for relevant contacts on the platform. For example, if you have something to sell, you can search for Buy listings and connect with those interested parties.

You cannot edit a listing once posted. You can deactivate the post from your profile page and create a new one.

Yes, you can post multiple items in one post

After signing in, go to the "Browse Listings" section. Use the filters to find materials that match your requirements.

Yes, you can post requests for specific types of waste materials by using the ‘Buy” option. In case the material you want is not listed, use the ‘Other’ option. You can also send your requirements to ecoSansar at support@ecosansar.com. We will be happy to assist you.

No, The ZeroWaste Community Tool is purely a discovery platform and does not participate in any financial or logistical transactions between parties.

Starting from August 2024, all services will be free for 3 months as part of our promotional offer. Flat subscription charges as below will apply from November 1 onwards:
● Contributors: Rs.99 per month, redeemable with sale of resources
● Resource Collectors: Rs.500 per month
● Corporates: Rs.3000 per month
We will get in touch with you and discuss the onboarding process. No card information is taken right now.

The platform is currently running on a basic architecture, which may result in slower speeds. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to demonstrate the effectiveness of this operations model to secure additional funding.
